MISSION STATEMENT

DOMAIN NAMES FOR SALE - DOMAIN NAMES FOR ATTORNEYS, LAWYERS, LAWFIRMS AND THOSE PARTIES INVOLVED IN LEGAL MATTERS.

MISSION STATEMENT

My name is D. Smith and I am an attorney.  I retired at the age of 58 and benefitted immensely from the use of the internet and domain names advertising my legal services.  I retired as a sole practitioner in September, 2007 and had three law offices operating at the time of my retirement.  Some months I would have 15,000 hits to my website.  All of the hits did not generate business of course but many did.  Think of all of the business that attorneys just let slip through their hands because they do not take advantage of the internet and all that it has to offer.  I was greatly surprised at the shear number of attorneys who fail to have a website that describes their area of practice or where they are located and thus lost such a fantastic opportunity in this technological age.  So many attorneys just use their names as a website and think that they will generate business that way.

My main mission in setting this website is to hopefully educate attorneys as to the many benefits of having a domain name that describes their area of practice and / or where they are located.  It is so wrong for a lawyer to set up a website in his name only and rely on it to generate additional income for him.  If you are going to have a domain name in your name then purchase domain names that do describe your area of practice and / or where your office is located and have them forwarded to your website.

If your office is in Indiana and you handle a lot of divorce matters it would benefit your firm to have the domain name www.IndianaDivorceLawFirm.com.  Your prospective clients, current clients and satisfied clients who would like to refer someone to you will easily remember you. Also, wouldn't it be nice to receive your email at atty@IndianaDivorceLawFirm.com? This is so much more prestigious than to receive email such as atty@yahoo.com, atty@aol.com or atty@gmail.com.

Think of an attorney in Dallas, Texas who represents a client and the client is very satisfied with his services but when the client's friend asks him for a referral he doesn't remember his former attorney's name.  Now if the attorney owned the domain name www.DallasAccidentLawFirm.com the former client would remember his domain name and tell his friend to go to the website for information about his great attorney.  Many attorneys are losing business left and right and don't even know it.

Take the example of that attorney in Dallas, Texas who advertises in the print media.  If he owned www.DallasAccidentLawFirm.com he could just list the domain name on his advertisement and his name if the state regulatory agency requires the disclosure of same.  Look at all of the money he has saved on print advertising and when the future client goes to his website he will learn all about the lawfirm and the services which it provides.  Now if that same lawyer in Dallas, Texas advertises on the radio or the television what are the chances that a person driving his car or relaxing watching television will have a pen and paper handy to write down the attorney's name and telephone number but if the attorney owned the domain name www.DallasAccidentLawFirm.com the person listening to the advertisement would remember it and contact the lawfirm through its website.

What about a lawfirm that specializes in the area of medical malpractice law.  Obtaining one client through using the domain www.InjuryAtBirth.com will have paid for the cost of the domain name many times over.  After the domain name is properly developed into a website think of the number of google searches for "injury at birth" that will be forwarded to the website and the subsequent clients that will be generated from said domain name.

When you purchase a domain name that describes your area of practice and / or where you are located you are making a permanent investment in your future.  A domain name is akin to a parcel of real estate located on the internet which belongs to you.  You control that domain name and develop it into a full blown website which generates substantial income for you and highlights your area of expertise and your great achievements on behalf of your clients.  Your domain name can also be forwarded to a website which you have developed.  You can also use "blind forwarding" where the person assessing the domain name doesn't know that the domain name is being forwarded to a different domain and website.  The purchase of a premium domain name is an investment in your law practice and your future.  A premium domain name reflects a positive image upon you and makes you stand up among the crowd.
